Lowering The Axe On Batters, Part 1

Current Blue Jay John Axford has had his turn as a closer. And his best year is certainly one deserving of my list.

In 2011, Axford posted just a 2-2 record for the Milwaukee Brewers, but that doesn't begin to tell the story. He finished 63 of 74 games in relief, and finished 9th in the Cy Young Award voting
