Never Cry Wolf!

Mellie Wolfgang was another rookie in the early years of baseball. The year before my last entry of Carl Mays. But in 1914, Wolfgang pitched in only 24 games. 13 of them were in relief, and he was 4-0 in those outings. His overall record was 9-5 with a low ERA, 1.89! He did not record a save, however. 1
