Johnson's Big Year, Part 1

Tom Johnson only really had one great year, in 1977 for the Twins. But it was good enough for my list.

Tom had shown plenty of promise, going 2-0 with a save in just 4 games in 1974. Two years later, he posed a 2.61 ERA. But 1977 was the year he put it all together.

Johnson won 16 games that year, finishing 54 of 71 games. He did, however, get hit: 152 hits allowed in just 146 2/3 IP.
