Lopez Left Batters Shaking Their Heads, Part 1

As one of the more prominent relievers of the famed 1984 Detroit Tigers, Aurelio Lopez went 10-1. But that was merely one of several big years for him. Three times the native of Matehuala, Mexico reached double figures in wins.

His best season, if you ask me, was 1979. This was Aurelio's first season on the Tigers. Wins? Try 10 (Against just 5 losses). Saves? 21. ERA? 2.41. Finishing 49 of 61 games, he tossed 127 innings in those outings!
