2018 NHL Playoff Predictions, Western Conference QF!

Out in the west, the crystal ball...

Central Division

Nashville (1) vs. Colorado (WC #2)

This looks pretty routine here. Not helping matters is the Avs are missing their starting goalie Semyon Varlamov. Preds seemed poise to prevail in five.

Winnipeg (2) vs. Minnesota (3)

The Wild are going to be missing (At least for game one) several key players. And Ryan Sutter isn't coming back. Still got a good team there, but not enough to win this series. Jets in six.

Pacific Division

Vegas (1) vs. Los Angeles (WC #1)

Here has all the makings of an upset, and I'm going there. A bunch of upstarts who perhaps overachieved in 2017/18 vs. a team that still has several players left from winning it all in 2012 and 2014. Kings in seven.

Anaheim (1) vs. San Jose (WC #1)

Injuries on both teams might play a factor, but on paper, the Ducks are the slightly better of a fairly even matchup. Don't be surprised if I'm wrong here, though. Ducks in seven.
