Stan(ding) Tall On The Mound In 1970

By 1970, Stan Williams was on the Minnesota Twins. His days as a pretty good starter for the Dodgers, Yankees and Indians (Despite a trip to the minors and a great return to the bigs) were over. Here, he was exclusively coming in from the bullpen. And did Stan ever contribute.

He helped get Minny into the playoffs that year. Stan had been there in 1959 with the Dodgers, 1963 with the Yankees, and now he added a third decade to his postseason experience. But how did he do that? By winning his fair share of games, and pickup up 15 saves and an ERA under 2 for good measure!
