No, A-Tisket, A-Tasket, But Just Jimmy Baskette! Part 1

Jim Baskette's season that makes my list is from 1912. Sadly, he was not on the Boston Red Sox or New York Giants that season, so no World Series appearance. Jimmy has other reasons to be on my list.

Despite only collecting one save, he produced eight wins and a fine ERA of 3.18. So this collection of relief artists does go far back to the deadball era of baseball, where you expected the starter to go nine or more every night.  Baskette's nickname was, "Big Jim" but that was 38 years before Jim Konstanty's big year with Philadelphia.
