Bill Chappelle didn't pitch his first game of 1908 (His first season in the bigs) until August 20th for the Boston Doves (Later, Braves). But he still finds a place on my list. Starting six games, but also relieving seven times, Big Bill (Who was 6'2), won two games, posted an ERA of just 1.79 and ended up pitching over 70 innings. He finished six of the seven games he relieved. Bill Chappelle allowed just 7.7 hits per 9 innings.
Despite this, and a pretty good 1909 season (In only 33 innings), Bill was unable to hold on to a job in the majors after that (He was claimed on waivers by Cincinnati in May of '09). Then Rochester bought him little more than a week later. Chappelle never returned to the majors again, although he pitched quite well for Brooklyn in the Federal League in 1914.
