So, for MJ it was the first of many, "The Shot!"
Micheal Jordan was actually taking a backseat to James Worthy and Sam Perkins as his North Carolina Tar Heels made their way to the NCAA finals in 1982. Waiting for them were Patrick Ewing's Georgetown Hoyas. It was one exciting game. I had better be careful what I reveal here. Future generations don't want some big yahoo to give it all away in his blog.
Fair enough.
Oh no. You can tell by the thumbnail!
Well. I did warn you.

What To Look Out For
1) Three NBA players aside. Georgetown had Ewing, of course. They also happened to have Anthony Jones and Billy Martin (Not to be confused with the tennis player in the 1970s and baseball player and later manager in the 1950s). The Tar Heels sent three excellent players to the Big Show: Jordan, Worthy and Perkins
2) Speaking of which, Jordan faced all of them at some point in the 1991 playoffs. Worthy and Perkins were there on the Lakers in the finals.
3) Okay, first thing that I notice: Where's the three-point line?
4) Worthy missed four shots total. Ewing, five. I won't talk about His Airness
5) Both teams shoot well over .500
6) Perkins jumps against Ewing
7) Okay, is this giving something away? MJ leads the Tar Heels in rebounding with 9.
8) Sleepy gets the roll @ 1:13:38, and that leads to...
9) The timeout is called by North Carolina @ 1:14:03. There is 32 seconds to go. Watch as someone goes to the bench and takes a seat as almost everyone else stands up. But he'll show 'em!
10) It's Jimmy Black that gets the assist, btw!
11) 1:15:19 is where it all goes down. There are 16 (Or is it 15) seconds to go.
12) 1:15:28, a bad pass!
13) 1:18:54...He misses them both? Huh? And there is still time on the clock.
