Mic Was Quite The Man In 1970.

Don McMahon was one of the better relief pitchers who's name isn't tossed around enough when we talk about all-time greats. However, he won 90 games in his career, all in relief. I think of him as being on that great Detroit Tigers team of 1968.

His best season was actually 1970, however. Now on the San Francisco Giants, and at the age of 40, Don won 9, saved a career-best 19 and kept the ERA under 3, 2.96.
