Moe Problems In The Orioles Bullpen In 1967!

Moe Drabowksy of the Baltimore Orioles is best remembered for his performance in game two of the 1966 World Series. Moe fanned eleven Los Angeles Dodgers, including a record-tying six in a row (Hod Eller and Todd Worrell also fanned six straight). But it wasn't Moe's only shining moment. He carved out a fine career in the bullpen after failing to make it as a starter in the late 1950s and early 60s. Although he went 6-0 in '66 (And 1-0, of course in the the Fall Classic), he was actually better the next season. Moe won seven, lost five, but posted an excellent ERA of 1.60 (Compared to 2.81 the previous season). Drabowsky added a career-high twelve saves for seventh place in the junior circuit. His efforts, however, were wasted by Baltimore, who failed to repeat their pennant success.
