Parrett Was The Big Winner In The Expos' Bullpen In 1988, Part 1

Jeff Parrett had just two years of major league experience prior to the 1988 campaign. And in neither was his ERA below 4.00! He sure turned it around! And while Jeff never quite was the closer on any teams in his 10-year stay in the bigs, Parrett found ways to contribute out of the bullpen.

Parrett, who nonetheless had won 7 games for Montreal in 1987, upped that total to 12 (With just 4 losses). And this was no one-and-done as far as his career went. The next season, 1989, Jeff won 12 games again. Three years later, Parrett was 9-1 in his only season in Oakland.
